Your Mission

As the Senior Content Marketer, you will lead the strategy and execution (including writing) on all marketing and sales related content at Highwood. More than that, you will take pride in absolutely nailing our message to the Oil & Gas companies we seek to partner with. Reporting directly to Highwood’s CEO, here’s what you’ll accomplish in your first 180 days of work:

  • Based on the Ideal Client Profile (ICP), Buyer Journey and Messaging Framework, collaborate with Sales and Founders to develop sales collateral (decks, one-pagers etc.) that move prospects to closed won faster (and at a higher rate of success)
  • Lead (in a highly collaborative way) the revision/relaunch of Highwood’s website based on the ICP, Buyer Journey and Messaging Framework
  • Evolve Highwood’s ICP(s), Buyer Journey(s) and Messaging Framework based on new clients that have experienced outsized value from collaborating with Highwood
  • Develop scalable processes including managing all external company communications, including Company Newsletter and Linked In page
  • Develop marketing and sales collateral effective in upselling/cross-selling of existing Highwood consulting clients into Highwood’s SaaS product
  • Collaborate with the Co-Founder/CIO to develop (and execute on) a best-in-class education and thought-leadership strategy that provides value to prospects, while generating qualified inbound pipeline

About You

Here are some of the things we’re looking for. Note that we don’t expect you to have all of these qualifications, experiences, and/or skills. We often choose to train someone with the right attitude over hiring the wrong person with the right skills.

  • Proven experience writing compelling sales collateral (including decks, one-pagers) for energy-related Enterprise SaaS that move prospects forward in the buying process
  • Proven experience writing compelling marketing collateral (including websites and Linked In content) for energy-related Enterprise SaaS that move prospects forward in the buying process
  • Proven experience crafting and executing education-related marketing strategies (preferably in the energy space) that add value for prospects and drive inbound pipeline
  • Proven experience crafting and executing thought-leadership strategies (preferably in the energy space) that add value to prospects and drive inbound pipeline
  • Proven experience creating and evolving ICPs, Buyer Journeys, Messaging Frameworks based on new data – and doing so in a collaborative way that secures buy-in from stakeholders
  • A mature self-starter who can operate independently, but also knows when and how to collaborate with Product, Sales and Senior Leadership
