optical gas imaging (OGI)

A common leak detection approach that uses thermal infrared cameras to visualize methane and various other organic gases. Common OGI cameras create images of a narrow range of the mid-IR spectrum (3.2− 3.4 μm wavelength) which methane and other light hydrocarbons actively absorb.
